Austin is filled with amazing event spaces: from the hidden Texas Hill Country venues, to downtown warehouses you may have never knew existed. When you think you have heard of them all, one more venue pops up on the wedding planning radar (may we call it the, ‘wed-dar’).
As a caterer who loves not only the taste and quality of our food, but also the aesthetics – presentation is very important and a big part of our twist. Combining our passion for food, with the beauty of the venue, and the irreplaceable moments that flood each event, make what we do simply incredible.
Because we have an outside of the ordinary mindset at Catering with a Twist, we want to share with you some of the unique parts of different wedding and event venues in and around Austin. The true inspiration for this new series is Rancho Mirando. I had the pleasure of visiting Rancho Mirando for a walk through in preparation for our bride Danielle, who got married this past weekend (Congratulations Danielle!). While I was there, Leslie walked me around the grounds, which covers an astonishing 50 acres.
Rancho Mirando is tucked on a beautiful hillside, located between Wimberley and Canyon Lake. Unlike most venues, Ranch Mirando has a guesthouse (The Hacienda) on site for the soon-to-be married couple to stay for the weekend of their wedding. If it were my way, I would live there full time. My jaw literally dropped walking through the Hacienda – the bright colors, the art work, the furniture. Its safe to say I was border line obsessed!
Check out some of the shots from the afternoon I spent at this romantic, majestic Texas Hill Country venue!
